The denomination of "1, 2 or 10" and the word "New Sheqel" or "New Sheqalim" in Hebrew and English. The State Emblem at the left of the denomination. The inscription around the rim, "Art in Israel" in Hebrew and English, "Israel" in Hebrew, English and Arabic and the date "1986/5746".
The uncirculated silver coin is mintmarked with a 6 pointed star at the top right. The proof coins are mintmarked with a Hebrew 'mem'.
