The "Tower of David" is the first coin in the "Jerusalem of Gold" series that will be issued annually and depict a treasured historical site in Jerusalem. The coin contains 1 oz. of fine gold and has a face value of 20 NIS.


Coin Description

Front

The Lion of Megiddo with the State Emblem above. The word "Israel" in Hebrew, English and Arabic below.


Reverse

The Tower of David, rising above the Old City of Jerusalem's walls near the Jaffa Gate. The word "Jerusalem" over the Tower in Hebrew, English and Arabic. The denomination, "20" with the year of issue "2010". The inscription, "1 oz. fine gold" in Hebrew and English. "New Sheqalim" below the denomination. The Proof-like mintmark: a six pointed 'Star of David'.

Tower of David


Proof-Like: A Mint State coin struck on a standard quality planchet. The coin displays a mirror type finish, but of lesser degree than a full Proof strike. A small six pointed "Star of David" mintmark struck on the coin below the date.
