Description of the Coin
Front
The image of an aircraft in the center of the coin. The wings and tail of the plane form a 'menorah'. The inscription around the rim, "Israel Aviation".
The Proof coin is struck with a small Hebrew 'mem' at the right of the plane. The uncirculated coin with a 6 pointed star.
Reverse
The word "Israel" in Hebrew, English and Arabic around the rim. In the center, the denomination "10 Israeli Lirot". The number 1 simulates a rocket in flight. The year "5732-1972" in Hebrew and English.
The edge of each coin is inscribed in Hebrew, "Twenty-fourth Year of the State of Israel."

Uncirculated: A Mint State coin struck on a standard planchet. The coin displays a matte type appearance.
Proof: A coin which was made with special care. The coins are struck with extra pressure using polished dies. The planchets are specially selected and polished. The coins exhibit a mirror-like surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark is struck on the "Aviation" coin at the right.
