Israel's Tenth Hanukka Coin
Issued by the Bank of Israel to commemorate the Hanukka Festival. The coin displays a Dutch Lamp of the eighteenth century.
Description of the Coin
Front
A Dutch Hanukka Lamp with the Hebrew inscription, "Hanukkiya from Holland", 18th century".
Reverse
The inscription in Hebrew "10 Lirot". The word "Israel" in English, Hebrew and Arabic. The date "5736-1975" in Hebrew and English. The Proof coin is struck with a small Hebrew 'mem' at the bottom. The uncirculated coin is struck with a six pointed star.

Uncirculated: A Mint State coin struck on a normal planchet. The coin displays a matte type appearance. A small six pointed "Star of David" mintmark struck on the "Dutch Lamp" coin at the bottom.
Proof: A coin which was made with special care. The coins are struck with extra pressure using polished dies. The planchets are specially selected and polished. The coins exhibit a smooth and neater surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A higher quality strike. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark struck on the "Dutch Lamp" coin at the bottom.
