Israel's Eleventh Hanukka Coin
Issued by the Bank of Israel to commemorate the Hanukka Festival. The coin displays an early American Lamp in honor of the American 1976 Bicentennial Celebration.
Description of the Coin
Front
An American Hanukka Lamp with the Hebrew inscription, "Early American Hanukka Lamp".
Reverse
The inscription in Hebrew "10 Lirot". The word "Israel" in English, Hebrew and Arabic. The date "5737-1976" in Hebrew and English. The State emblem appears at the bottom. The Proof coin is struck with a small Hebrew 'mem' at the right. The uncirculated coin is struck with a six pointed star.

Uncirculated: A Mint State coin struck on a normal planchet. The coin displays a matte type appearance. A small six pointed "Star of David" mintmark struck on the "American Lamp" coin at the right.
Proof: A coin which was made with special care. The coins are struck with extra pressure using polished dies. The planchets are specially selected and polished. The coins exhibit a smooth and neater surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A higher quality strike. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark struck on the "American Lamp" coin at the right.
