Israel's 14th Hanukka Coin
Issued by the Bank of Israel to commemorate the Hanukka Festival. The coin displays a 19th century Lamp from Egypt.
Description of the Coin
Front
An Egyptian Lamp with the Hebrew inscription, "Hanukkiya from Egypt 19th Century".
Reverse
The inscription in Hebrew: "100 Lirot". The word "Israel" in English, Hebrew and Arabic. The date "5740-1979" in Hebrew, Arabic and English. The Proof coin is struck with a small Hebrew 'mem' at the right. The uncirculated coin is struck with a six pointed star.

Uncirculated: A Mint State coin struck on a standard planchet. It will display a matte type appearance. A small six pointed "Star of David" mintmark struck on the "Egyptian Lamp" coin at the right rim.
Proof: A coin which was made with special care. The coins are struck using polished dies. The planchets are specially selected and polished. The coins exhibit a mirror-like surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark is struck on the "Egyptian Lamp" coin at the right rim.
