Front: A Missouri Frontiersman, in the center. In the field, the anniversary dates "1821 - 1921". Around the rim, "United States of America - Half Dollar". The mintage included 5,000 coins struck with the '2x4' mintmark in the field. It represents Missouri's status as the country's 24th state .
Reverse: In the center, the Frontiersman and an Indian facing left. In the background, 24 stars again referring to Missouri as the 24th state. Around the rim, "Missouri Centennial - Sedalia".
