The Oregon Trail Memorial Half Dollar Issued to commemorate the heroism of those who journeyed the Oregon Trail to the Far West.
Coin Description Front: An Indian holding a bow with a map of the United States in the background. A group of Conestoga wagons crossing the western states. In the field, "United States of America". At the bottom rim, "Half Dollar". Reverse: In the center, a Conestoga wagon crossing the land with the sun setting in the background. Below the wagon in the field, "Oregon Trail Memorial" and 5 stars representing the 5 States of the Oregon Territory; Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Oregon. Around the rim, "In God We Trust" and the date at the bottom.

A 3 cent Commemorative Postage stamp in honor of the 100th Anniversary, canceled on the First Day of issue July 14, 1936.
