Commemorative issue to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the Colony of Rhode Island
Coin Description
Front: Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island, is in a canoe with bible in hand and arm raised to greet the Narragansett Indian that stands ashore. Around the rim, the motto "In God We Trust - Liberty" with the anniversary dates "1636 - Rhode Island - 1936".
Reverse: The State Seal with the inscription, "United States of America - Half Dollar - E. Pluribus Unum".
