Front: An American Beaver with a branch from a Maple tree, in the center of the coin. Around the rim, "United States of America - Half Dollar - In God We Trust - E. Pluribus Unum".
Reverse: The Governors that served: Thomas Dongan, Robert Livingston and Peter Schuyler, in the center. Around the rim, "Settled - 1614 - Chartered - 1686 - Albany, NY".
