The "S" mintmark beside the date, indicating the strike of the San Francisco Mint. Reverse: An eagle above the shield of the United States. An olive branch to symbolize peace and an oak branch to symbolize strength. Around the rim, "United States of America - Half Dollar'". Above the eagle, "In God We Trust".
